The financial impact of Covid-19 has led many unincorporated charities to reconsider their legal structure, given the potential for personal trustee liability.

In this session, Gareth Roy will discuss with participants the benefits of incorporating their charity, including the protection it offers to trustees, and will explain the process of incorporating into either a charitable company or a charitable incorporated organisation.

Delivered by Gareth Roy, a Russell-Cooke law specialist.

Russell-Cooke is a ‘top 100’ law firm with around 200 highly regarded lawyers across a wide range of practice areas.

Gareth is a charity law specialist working in Russell-Cooke’s dedicated Charity and Social Business Team. Gareth has been at Russell-Cooke for 7 years and specialises in advising charities and not-for-profits on governance and commercial matters. He advises a wide range of organisations from large national charities such as The Salvation Army and Breast Cancer Now to small local organisations.
