Setting good personal boundaries is critical to creating healthy relationships, increasing self- esteem and reducing stress, anxiety and depression. Boundaries protect your personal self by setting a clear line between what is me and what is not me. A lack of boundaries opens the door for others to determine your thoughts, feelings, and needs. Defining boundaries is a process of determining what behaviour you will accept from others and what you will not. At home or in the workplace, learning how to set clear boundaries with family, colleagues, clients will help you to create structure, understand what is important and even create an exit strategy as and when appropriate particularly in our ever changing world.
This course will help you to:
Define the meaning and importance of boundaries
Understand the different types of boundaries and needs
Explore advantages of clear healthy boundaries with others
Set boundaries at work, with family/friends
Date/times: 2nd June. 10am to 12pm
