Community First's Help and Support Directory is an easy to use directory of local community services. It has been created to help people connect with support services and community groups where they live.
Feefo, a verified review platform company based in Petersfield, has recently undergone rapid
growth now employing 120 people. Staff are employed from all across the South and decided to
launch a volunteering programme to enable employees to have two days off a year to support
local community projects. Feefo approached Community First to help them deliver the
programme with the first day spent at Headley Down Nature Reserve near Bordon.
Steve Powell, Chairman of the charity committee at Feefo says, “It has been a fantastic first day for us bringing people from across the business together to do something worthwhile to support a local charity. Working in partnership with Community First has enabled us to get this
programme off the ground by liaising with the charity to organise the day. We have managed to
engage members of staff who have not volunteered before and hope to provide many more
opportunities to get involved and support local causes.”
Headley Down Nature Reserve was formed in 2016 by a small group of local residents with a
passion for turning this former landfill site into a beautiful nature reserve for the local community
to enjoy. Angela Jackson Chair of the Trust said “It’s great to see a local business get involved, this our first corporate volunteering day and we are amazed at how much they have managed to achieve. The volunteers have woodchipped the informal paths, cleared areas for seed
sowing, cut back overgrown brambles and planted new flowers. The team of fifteen have been
enthusiastic and have enjoyed spending time away from their desks to help us here at Headley.
On behalf of the Trust and the local community, I would like to thank Feefo and Community First
for helping us with the on-going transformation of this formerly neglected area.”
