Community First's Help and Support Directory is an easy to use directory of local community services. It has been created to help people connect with support services and community groups where they live.
After a successful launch last year, where people and organisations from across the UK got involved, Local Charities Day is returning this year on Friday 15 December 2017.
Building on the success of 2016’s launch, this year’s Local Charities Day will highlight the work of small charities that are making remarkable differences in our communities.
In Hampshire there are around 6,500 registered charities and this does not account for the hundreds upon hundreds of hyper-local, grassroots community groups who are not registered with the Charity Commission because their income is less than £5,000 per year, many of whom provide a lifeline in their local communities.
The Office of Civil Society #LocalCharitiesDay campaign is a great opportunity to reach new supporters for your local charity.
If you would like support to think about how you can use #LocalCharitiesDay to engage your supporters check out our resources section where you can access our toolkits and guides to support you to consider things like, what online fundraising platforms are out there, which one to choose and why.
