Date: 23/09/2022
Time: 09:30 - 12:00
Price: £55.00
This course is aimed at new or moderately experienced supervisors / line managers, but would be beneficial to anyone seeking to improve or refresh their people management skills.
Good support and supervision of staff is key to building strong teams, but what does, or should, good look like?
The terms support and supervision are often used interchangeably in the context of line management; in fact they are very different. Done well, they can lead to the development of high performing individuals and teams, done poorly they can lead to a whole host of issues.
In this short course we will look at the difference between supporting and supervising staff, why they are so important and what skills are required to do both, well. We will look at how best to structure the delivery of support and supervision and how to use this structure to get the best out of your staff and in turn, provide them with a positive working environment.
In this online session you will cover:
• The difference between support and supervision
• Motivating staff and helping them achieve
• 1-1 meetings - how, when and why
• Delegation and trust
• How to have difficult conversations
