Community English Language Classes
What is Community English?
Community English are classes are delivered by the Community First Training department for speakers of other languages.
The classes are held in Fareham at Community First Fareham and include:
- How to speak English
- Learning about England
- Information about services in Fareham (including businesses and leisure activities) and how to access them
- Handouts and exercises are given during each classroom session
- Homework is often set for students to check their learning
Levels
We offer English classes for various levels of ability. All students are assessed before the course to ensure they attend the right level for them. This assessment is free of charge.
Our Community English classes are delivered in partnership with Fareham Language School.
Students receive regular assessments throughout the term to monitor their progress.
There is final assessment of speaking, listening, reading and writing at the end of each term to measure achievement.

Thursday | 7:00pm to 9:00pm |
Friday | 10:00am to 12:00noon |
Our classes follow the academic calendar from September to July. There are 3 terms a year, with each term running for 11 weeks.
Cost
£121 per term, which is £5.50 per hour.
