Terms and Conditions for Training
These will be sent out to you one week before the course date. Community First reserves the right to cancel courses where there are insufficient attendees. In this event full refunds will be given.
Payment can be made via PayPal, we can also invoice your organisation (details to be included on the booking form), BACS payment details, or by cheque, details found on the payments page of the website.
Failure to attend a booked place or failure to cancel within 2 weeks before the course taking place will result in your organisation being invoiced for the full cost of that place.
We would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible (preferably by at least two weeks before) if you are unable to attend as a waiting list may be operating.
Refreshments are supplied at all courses but please bring your own lunch for full day courses, unless stated otherwise in the joining instructions. Registration is 15 minutes prior to the start time of the course and we would appreciate if you could arrive early for registrations so courses can begin promptly.
Meeting your support Requirements
Community First is committed to meeting the support requirements of people with learning difficulties and disabilities. We will do our best to ensure you can participate fully, providing the resources are available to us. Please make it clear on the booking form if you have particular support needs and we will try our best to support you.
Our training courses are delivered in accordance with RARPA (recognising and recording progress and achievement) a national quality standard for non-accredited learning.
The information you provide on your booking form and any additional information you may provide in the future will be held by Community First Training and shared with the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). The ESFA is responsible for funding, planning and encouraging training in England and is registered under current United Kingdom data protection regulations. At no time will your personal information be passed to organisations for marketing or sales purposes. This only applies to courses funded by ESFA.
ESFA Privacy Notice
This privacy notice is issued by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Department of Education (DfE). It is to inform learners how their personal information will be used by the DfE, the ESFA (an executive agency of the DfE) and any successor bodies to these organisations. For the purposes of relevant data protection legislation, the DfE is the data controller for personal data processed by the ESFA.
Your personal information is used by the DfE to exercise its functions and to meet its statutory responsibilities, including under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and to create and maintain a unique learner number (ULN) and a personal learning record (PLR). Your information will be securely destroyed after it is no longer required for these purposes.
Your information may be shared with third parties for education, training, employment and well-being related purposes, including for research. This will only take place where the law allows it and the sharing is in compliance with data protection legislation.
The English European Social Fund (ESF) Managing Authority (or agents acting on its behalf) may contact you in order for them to carry out research and evaluation to inform the effectiveness of training.
