According to NHS Digital, 11.9 million people do not have the digital skills needed for everyday life in the UK. The importance of internet usage is constantly expanding, and it is important to recognise the need for Digital Skills. This is why Community First is now helping YOU access everything you need via the internet, making the most out of your device!
How can we help?
Whatever the reason you need a little bit of help, whether that’s setting up your new phone, ordering your prescriptions online, or keeping in touch with your family, we can help!
Additionally, if you are a member of a care home, support group or organisation and feel your group would benefit from some group or 1:1 session please contact us using the details below, we would love to hear from you!
Community First can support you to use digital devices such as; computers, smartphones and tablets, all whilst ensuring you get the right access to the internet through broadband and Wi-Fi.
Digital Champion Volunteers
Our Digital Champions are fully trained and experienced volunteers, who are happy to provide that little bit of extra help and support to get you online either with a group session or if you prefer a 1:1.
You will meet your volunteer for the first time on a ‘get to know’ basis, this is an opportunity for our wonderful volunteers to get a better understanding on the help you need, the device you use and the skills you already have! After you have met with the Digital Champion hand-picked for YOU, we can then get you booked in for your first session!
Who can we help?
This service is provided in Fareham, Gosport and South East Hants for anyone in need of it.
Extras
– Each session will last a Maximum of 60 minutes.
– This service is completely Free.
– If suitable for your Digital Champion, you can arrange as often as weekly sessions.
