Surgery Signposting

The Surgery Signposter Project is being run by Community First in partnership with the South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Launched first in The Bosmere Medical Practice Havant, then the Forest Surgery in Bordon, the Surgery Signposter volunteers are there to literally ‘signpost’ local residents to the wide range of voluntary and community services available locally – services that many GPs might not even know about.

They will put residents in touch with support groups for certain health conditions, social activities, assistance with exercise or diet, and help to reduce a patient’s social isolation and build up levels of confidence about self-care. Volunteers will also be able to signpost residents to organisations that can help with wider life improvement issues such as housing, benefits, employment and education.

The Surgery Signposters are available to all local residents; you do not have to be a patient of The Bosmere Medical Practice or the Forest Surgery to benefit from their support.

Community First aims to improve the quality of life for residents, especially older people and those with disabilities, through the work of our various projects which include Volunteering Projects, and Shopmobility & Community Transport.  Find information on our other services on our Wellbeing page.
