Find A Funder – New Forest & Waterside

Community First is a registered Charity operating in Hampshire that enables individuals and local groups to be the difference they want to see in their local communities. And a big difference maker is always money.

On Thursday 21st March 2024 Community First facilitated a New Forest funding event to bring funders and organisations together to un-complicate the process and ensure the vital sought-after pounds are getting where they’re needed.

The morning event was hosted at Fawley Rugby Club on the Waterside. Filling their great venue with invited Funders who gave the crucial presentations and information to the 74 delegates who took in their insightful presentations and then had the opportunity to stay around after to engage with the Funders and their like-minded peers.

The 4 Funders invited to speak about their funding and criteria were:

Joanne Davies from Hampshire and IOW Community Foundation – Charles Burnett Memorial Fund
Robert Stead from Hampshire County Council – Adult Services
Adrian Thatcher from Waterside Community Fund
Andrew Chapman from the National Lottery, Community Fund

4 further funders were promoted:

New Forest District Council – New Forest Rural England Prosperity Fund
New Forest National Park Authority – Sustainable Communities and other funds
Basingstoke Voluntary Action – funding finder service and monthly emails
Community First – Local Children’s Partnership – Development Grant and Ukrainian Grant
