Charities applying should ensure their project meets at meets at least one of the funding objectives. For full eligibility criteria check out our Grant Funding Policy page.
The Fore fund small charities that make a big impact.
We offer unrestricted funding to help applicants grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient. We believe that by asking you and your charity what you need, our grants will create a transformational impact on your organisation.
We see applicants as experts in your own fields. We also know that many of the best people who run small charities don’t have lots of fundraising experience. Our approach is designed to level the playing field.
We are particularly keen to hear from grassroots organisations working with underserved communities.
We offer unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over one to three years
Funding can be used for whatever you need for your organisation to grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient
Applicants set their own targets for the grant term with the support of our consultants
There are no long application or monitoring forms
We guarantee feedback for every applicant
Registration for our Spring 2024 Funding Round will be open from 12pm (midday) on Wednesday 6th December, to 12pm (midday) on Wednesday 13th December 2023.
The Trust has three main grant-making programmes – Opportunity, Heritage, and Environment .
The Swire Charitable Trust makes grants to charities supporting some of the UK’s most vulnerable people to overcome barriers and realise their potential, and to charities who are protecting our precious environment and heritage.
We have tried to make our application process as simple and transparent as possible. There is just one stage, with a single form for all our programmes and all types of grant.
If you wish to apply, please complete our online funding request form, briefly outlining why your work is needed and effective. Please remember that we cannot accept applications by post.
We run a rolling programme with regular grantmaking meetings, so there are no deadlines.
