Community First Home Services is seeking to increase our workforce of Self-employed Home Helps and Gardeners in Fareham and Havant. This is a great opportunity to grow your own business and manage a workload to suit your lifestyle.

Our Home Help Service provides cost-effective assistance for anyone living in Fareham, Havant, and surrounding areas,  who is unable to do their own basic housework and/or shopping.

The service supports older and vulnerable people who would like help around the home and with daily chores which aim to improve their quality of life and keep them living safely and independently at home.

 

Location:  Fareham and Havant Areas

Hours: Flexible

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Compassionate and empathetic
  • Excellent communicators and can build rapport easily
  • Trustworthy, conscientious, reliable and punctual
  • Flexible and able to show initiative
  • Good listeners

If you are looking for work that allows you to manage your own hours and build up your own regular client base, then apply to be a registered Home Help with Community First.

Our Home Helps support our clients with:

  • Light cleaning duties,
  • laundry and ironing,
  • bed linen change,
  • shopping,
  • helping to prepare a light meal or snack,
  • prescription collection and
  • companionship

The needs of the clients will be assessed by one of team, prior to allocating the visit to ensure you are not expected to carry out work outside of your remit. You will be provided with guidance regarding keeping yourself and your client safe, including Covid19 safety guidance.

Personal care is not part of the service we offer.

The Home Help service operates in and around the Fareham and Havant areas,  between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and does not include Bank Holidays.

Home Helps can specify which area they wish to work, on which days and for how many hours a day.

As a Home Help you will enjoy:

  • Working flexible hours Monday to Friday

The position is rewarding and flexible although Home Helps are required to ensure they keep their commitments to their clients.

All Home Helps will need to have a satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
