Watch Fareham & Gosport Voluntary Sector Health Forum’s March meeting

The Fareham & Gosport Voluntary Sector Health Forum was held on Wednesday 24 March 2021. Following on from welcoming attendees a review of the short-term actions following on from the previous Health Forum Breakout Rooms was shared.

Ted Hill, Gosport Voluntary Action’s CEO provided a brief Fareham and Gosport area Community & Voluntary Sector update.

Steve Loe, Head of Vulnerable Adults, Fareham, Gosport and SE Hants, Hants & IoW Partnerships of CCGs provided a detailed presentation on Mental Health services and structures. Steve highlighted the various Mental Health teams and how many are now operating in a more integrated person-centred way via a ‘No Wrong Door’ approach.

Elizabeth Kerwood, Head of Communications and Engagement, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Partnership of CCGs provided an update including about the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccinations locally.

Carl Parkins, Wellbeing Coordinator, Fareham and Gosport Wellbeing Service, Solent Mind, Fareham and Gosport gave an explanation of the wide range of Solent Mind’s Wellbeing services and courses including the support currently available for young people and for parents.

Health Forum members were asked for their feedback re their preferred way forward as we all approach COVID-19 recovery – in terms of the potential mix re ‘virtual’ and ‘face to face’ Health Forum meetings going forward.

The Health Forum meeting ended with the forthcoming Health Forum dates and times:- 1-2pm Thursday 24 June 2021 (via Zoom) and Tuesday 12 October 2021 (hopefully face to face in Fareham – TBC).
