Community First is delighted to be able to offer discounted and free training opportunities to the charities we work with in Eastleigh borough. A discount on training is always a great way to ensure the training budget (particularly for those expensive statutory certification courses) goes a bit further. Emergency First Aid at Work £50
WHAT IS COVERED:
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR
• Choking
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Minor injuries
The content of this course is in line with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance and delivered in accordance with currently accepted first aid practice as published by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the current edition of the first aid manual of the Voluntary Aid Societies (St John Ambulance, British Red Cross and St Andrew’s). As required under The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, the HSE strongly recommends annual refresher training. A certificate will be issued which will be valid for 3 years.

Manual handling training is essential for UK businesses and charities to safeguard employees, minimize costs, and comply with the law. By teaching proper lifting techniques and risk assessment, training helps prevent injuries, boosts productivity, and creates a safer work environment.

Safeguarding (online) £25
WHAT IS COVERED:
You will have an awareness of who might be a vulnerable adult or identify where a child could be at risk; what constitutes maltreatment;
how to protect themselves from creating a safeguarding concern and what they should do if they suspect maltreatment of a vulnerable adult or a child.
After this course you will be able to:
• Recognise your responsibilities to Safeguard vulnerable adults and children
• Discuss how to Safeguard vulnerable adults and children
• Recognise your responsibilities to report a concern
• Recognising when to report issues and to whom
• Reporting procedure and the subsequent process
