This course provides you with skills and understanding to build on your own practice including:
+ Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): A brief overview of the concept and its impact.
+ The History Behind Trauma-Informed Approaches: A look at how these approaches have evolved and their relevance today.
+ Recognising Trauma Signs: Identifying indicators of trauma in individuals and communities.
+ Becoming Trauma-Aware: Practical advice on how to begin integrating trauma-informed practices within your organisation.
+ The Role of a Trusted Adult: Defining the importance of being a trusted adult and the impact of positive relationships.
The second part of this session will explore:
+ Case Studies: Real-world examples to help contextualise the concepts and see them in action.
+ Reflective Session: An opportunity for you to reflect on your team to reflect on what you have learned and discuss how to implement trauma-informed practices within your organisation.
+ Next Steps: Guidance on the actionable steps to take moving forward, ensuring that the trauma-informed approach becomes embedded in your organisational culture.
This CPD session will be delivered by Elle who is a qualified Trauma Informed Educator and with 30 years of experience across Education, Youth Work, Youth Justice, Children’s Services, and Violence Reduction, she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and organisations to enable safer, more compassionate, preventative communities. All rooted in preventative partnership working.
