ABOUT THE COURSE:
Evidence shows that volunteering boosts confidence and self-esteem, many people with support needs such as learning disabilities or poor mental health need help to volunteer in a structured way, This course will support organisations to take a structured approach to ensure people gain the best possible outcomes from volunteering.
WHAT IS COVERED:
• Successful recruitment of volunteers
• Sustaining the involvement of volunteers
• Managing and motivating volunteers.
AIMS/OBJECTIVES:
• Identify ways of attracting 'the right' volunteers
• Discuss recruitment, induction and training/support requirements
• Discuss documentation including Volunteer Agreements
• Identify legal requirements and best practices
• Recognise ways to provide ongoing support and demonstrate commitment
• Determine ways of managing and motivating volunteers
• Meet others to discuss their own best practice, ideas and ways of implementing the volunteering process
