Who can use this service?
Shopmobility is for anyone who has difficulty getting about, whether a temporary problem e.g. broken leg or a permanent disability. Shopmobility provides you with a wide selection of manual and powered wheelchairs and battery powered mobility scooters, any of which can be hired for a small fee of between £3-4.50 per item per day.
How does it work?
Equipment may be hired for a day or up to 2 weeks. We can meet you from your car, taxi or Dial-a-Ride, also we will show you how to operate the equipment safely and you can have a practice before going out into the town. We will also be able to advise you on which type of equipment best suits your needs. Alternatively you can just come in, but we cannot always guarantee to have the equipment available to suit your needs.
How to book
All you have to do is give us a call on 01962 842626 and book the equipment before you come to Winchester. Just let us know when you will be arriving and the equipment will be waiting for you. You can also contact us by email: firstname.lastname@example.org

The Brooks Shopping Centre
If you are travelling into the city by Dial-a-Ride we can meet you at the rear of Marks & Spencer.
If you are visiting by car or taxi then follow the signs into the Brooks Shopping Centre car park, where free parking is available to users of the Shopmobility scheme.
