Eastleigh Borough: £3000 Training Fund

Voluntary, community and not-for-profit organisations across Eastleigh Borough work tirelessly to support their communities, often with limited budgets and resources. To support their work, we’re pleased to announce a unique opportunity for charities in Eastleigh Borough to apply for part of a £3000 Training Fund.

This fund empowers local charities by providing financial support to access training tailored to their specific needs. In addition to funding, organizations that receive this support will also benefit from help to measure the impact of the training and embed learning throughout their organization, ensuring lasting benefits that go beyond the training itself.

Alongside the funding, successful applicants will receive guidance and support on how to:

 Who Should Apply?

The fund is open to all voluntary, community, not-for-profit organisation within Eastleigh Borough. Here are some examples of training that you might like to apply for funding for:

Leadership and team management for example one team building event for 10 – 20 staff and volunteers (1/2 day approx. £500)

Digital and IT skills for example online training in excel or canva for 10 – 15 people (2 hours £20 per person)

Other topics might include:

Fundraising and marketing

Volunteer management

Health and safety, safeguarding, or compliance training

Mental health and well-being support

Community Engagement

The application process focuses on understanding how the training and accompanying support will benefit your team, mission, and the community. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

  1. Describe the Training: Outline the specific training, the format, provider if know and costs. (online, in-person).
  2. Identify Participants: Share who within your organization will participate and how they’ll benefit.
  3. Explain the Benefits: Describe the immediate and long-term benefits, both for your organization and the community.

Tips for a Successful Application

– Be Specific: Define the training objectives and skills you aim to develop. Identify how this aligns with your organization’s needs.

– We can not aware the whole or the majority of the funding to one organisation so please avoid requests for over £500 per organisation.
