Havant Local Children’s Partnership – 9th July 2024

The Havant LCP met in person at Havant Horizons Leisure Centre on Tuesday 9th July in ‘The Hangout’. There were circa 30 representatives from across the sector which supports children and young people. Sarah Goodwin, Chair, who is from Motiv8, welcomed everyone and gave an update on progress and priorities against the Hampshire Children and Young People’s Plan 2022 to 2025 | Children and Families | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk)

Stacey Borland gave a presentation on the Supporting Families Programme and Stacie Gofton presented on her work as a social prescriber with a helpful case study.

The meeting then worked in groups to capture ‘Good News Stories’ relating to the petals on the Back2Basics 5 steps to wellbeing – Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice and Give.

There were updates from Early Help, HAF, Pantries and Food Insecurity, CAMHS, Willow and Youth Offending Team as well as information from Sexual Health Promotion, Detached Youth work / Havant District PAG and local organisations including Motiv8 and Horizons Leisure, who were thanked for allowing the LCP to meet at their venue for such a useful event.

Havant LCP plans to meet in person every three months.
