Connect Winchester

Connect is a Community Transport scheme that is here for you when traditional buses aren’t viable due to mobility issues or the bus stop is just too far away.

Get around easily with Connect

  • Your choice for pick-up and drop-off – Travel anywhere within central Winchester with us! We can come and get you from home or your chosen pick-up spot and take you where you need to go.
  • Fully accessible – All our vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Need any assistance? Our safety-trained drivers are ready to help you board and with anything else you need on your journey.
  • An affordable option – Our fares are similar to local bus services and a lot cheaper than taking a taxi. Check your fare here.
  • Helpers ride for free – Let us know when you register if you need to bring an essential companion with you.

 

Operating schedule

The Winchester Connect service provides travel on weekdays 9.15am to 2.45pm.

The central urban Winchester area is covered Monday to Friday and the outer rural Winchester areas are serviced on the schedule below.

Rural Winchester Operating Schedule

Mondays – Wonston & Micheldever Ward and The Worthys Ward into Winchester City Centre.

Tuesdays – Badgers Farm & Olivers Battery Ward and Colden Common & Twyford Ward into Winchester City Centre.

Wednesdays – Alresford & Itchen Ward and Upper Meon Valley Ward into Winchester City Centre.

Thursdays – Bishops Waltham Ward, Whiteley & Shedfield Wards and Swanmore & Newtown Area into Fareham Town Centre.

Fridays – Southwick & Wickham Ward, Denmead Ward and Droxford, Soberton & Hambledon into Fareham Town Centre.
